Quinn this morning read a screed from a “radio guy” named Ellis Washington, but skipped the show prep to find out who he is and where his radio show is.

“He hosts a radio program Thursdays at 11 a.m. Eastern on 1620 AM in Atlanta.”
Two things to note: there is no mention of a call sign, and the frequency is in the AM expanded band.
There is no FCC licensed station on 1620 kHz anywhere near Georgia. It’s apparently a Section 15 unlicensed AM station, which has about the same range as your WIFI router – unless it is an overpowered pirate station. Arrrgh!
Apparently, he is Savage’s “official biographer” as well.
Small world.
That would be an interesting book if he doesn’t leave out the interesting parts.
