One name they are pushing is Jim Clyburn, the father of former FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn.

  1. That was Hank Johnson of Georgia, Parrott. Believe it or not, I subsequently saw him on C-SPAN as a guest interviewer!

    When Clyburn’s daughter quit the FCC, there was speculation her father might retire and she would run to replace him. If he stays put, Republicans would lose their chance to filet Mignon Clyburn in the election.

    (Sorry, I’ve been waiting for another chance to uncork that awful pun.)

    Is Clyburn the one who thought Guam would tip over if they put to many troops and shipping containers on the island ? He asked the joint-chiefs during a congressional hearing. I can’t remember exactly who it was , it may have been someone from Georgia.
    There is no minimum requirements to be elected to congress. ( there should be)
