The English Summer

Quite a while ago, I speculated that the real purpose of “Flashmobs” was not for people to do cute little dances, but dress rehearsals for anarchists and revolution – testing the technology, building the social networks, and measuring the ability of the police to detect and react to a sudden appearance of a mob without warning and with no obvious leader to grab.   Identifying “the leader” and making an example of him/her is the normal way police deal with a riot.

Don’t think we aren’t next on the list.

I agree. It will happen here, in the “winter of man’s discontent.”
