The thing most curious about this story is – how was one civilian (not even involved with the original crime scene) able to single handedly stop 5 fleeing teenagers by himself?
Since this is Connecticut, a gun seems unlikely… I’m guessing one or more really loud angry dogs. Ansonia is “in transition” with the drug problems driving out most of the remaining businesses still clinging on and the law abiding normal people…
Describing the kids in the stolen van as “from Bridgeport” is as close as this paper is going to get to hinting at an ethnic identification.
SO, did they all move to Bridgeport from Wilkinsburg, PA? He he he.
Bridgeport is Democrat run city with a large portion of the population on social services – it’s equally as plausible they could be from Central America.
My suspicion is they were running “home” to their boss and the person who “captured” them single handed is the “owner” of the stolen van – but without more info, that’s just idle speculation. Doing all of that just to steal a bicycle seems odd.
