Phil Boyce used to be the program director at WABC-AM in New York, and left after Citadel Broadcasting bought the station from ABC/Disney. He left to go to work for Talk Radio Network, syndicator of Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, Jerry Doyle, Rusty Humphries and a few others… TRN is run by the son of Roy Masters, although who actually owns the company is unclear.
A while back (I think it was a bit over a year ago) I remember writing in one of the blogs “If Phil Boyce is still working for TRN in a year, I’ll be surprised” [I can’t find where I wrote that]….. It was probably about the time that TRN filed its lawsuit against Michael “Savage” Weiner to force him to keep working for them.
There is no announcement of a new position, so TRN probably decided they no longer needed his services. He’s a start guy with a spotless reputation. I bet he has enough information from his last three years to write an very interesting book if he was so inclined.
