If you’re old enough, you probably remember the Falklands – the British occupied islands off the coast of South America with more sheep than people. It was the crown jewel of the Margaret Tatcher reign over the government of the United Kingdom – kicking the ass of the Argentine Air Force in 1982.
Well, The British Empire is drawing up war plans today for a second Falklands war. News Story
This time it isn’t just Argentina – it’s virtually all of South America telling England to get the hell out out of the Western Hemisphere. The recent British action in Libya really surfaced what a paper tiger the United Kingdom has become. Having retired their one remaining aircraft carrier and sold it to Turkey for scrap metal…. and reliant on European planes with no spare parts, Norway ended up more effective at flying sorties than the U.K.
So the Mercosur countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Brzail, Paragua, and soon to include Venezuela and Ecuador) just agreed to not allow ships flying the Fauklands flag to use their ports.
Bet you didn’t see that one coming…
What will Obama do? What will he do?

Back in June of this year, the OAS decided to support Argentina and the Obama administration supported that action.
At the heart of this is not sheep or 3000 people raising sheep, but oil rights.
Obama? Isn’t he the ill-mannered lout who sent back to Britain the bust of Winston Churchill, reportedly due to his anti-Anglo resentments of the British? The Brits, nevertheless, remain friends of America, which must nettle The Great Pretender even more. So, when Malvides-Duo comes, if sitting on our hands and doing nothing works, then that. Or maybe he’ll just be done with the charade and vector in a few flights of bombers and kill as many British as possible. Hail to the Cheef.
PS – Britain is a pristine example of what addiction to Socialism will do for you. Socialism – the crystal meth of government. Smile! Show me those gorgeous teeth!
The comments on the news story are interesting. Most seem to be advocating a preemptive military attack on Argentina.
Argentina isn’t threatening to invade the Faulklands. all this group of countries did was say is if your ship is flying the flag of the Fauklands, you can’t use our ports. that’s a pretty fundamental right of a sovereign nation.
Argentina isn’t proposing a military blockade of the Falklands. They are not blocking trade between the Falklands and other countries.
What do the British attack? Send a frigate into the territorial waters of Argentina and force the port to allow a Faulkland flagged ship to enter?
What ships fly the flag of the Falklands and why do they dock in South America? Fishing Boats seem to be part of the answrr. If the fishing boats had to return to Europe to unload, the viability of doing that falls apart.
