There is a pretty good chance you haven’t heard of Jerry Hughes unless you’re a radio junkie.
Jerry Hughes did a syndicated radio show called “Straight Talk”. He did the show with People’s Radio Network and the Accent Radio Network, which was Chuck Harder’s operation, at least at one time. Straight Talk was carried on CRN until fairly recently, which is where I heard him. I’m not sure if he was even on any terrestrial radio stations.
Tom Taylor was informed of the death by a colleague Wyatt Cox, who until fairly recently did a syndicated early morning wake up show named American Sunrise – similar to Jim Bohannon’s America in the Morning and First Light with Dirk Van. Wyatt did an amazing program given the limited resources he had – as near as I can tell, he is no longer actively employed, but that’s true of a lot of people in the radio business.
