This is an interesting development.
Midnight to 1 AM (Eastern) is a dead zone. Rusty Humphries is done, so is Alan Colmes.
John Batchelor is doing his “maybe live” 4th hour and Jim Bohannon is in his final hour – there is a local trucking show in Cincinnati, and Talk Star’s X-Zone is on one station. There are few local shows out on the West Coast – but that’s about it for “Live Radio” at that hour.
Coast to Coast is rerunning the prior night’s show, but the live show doesn’t come on until 1 AM (ET). Same for the Cumulus Radio Midnight Trucking Guys with Really Deep Voice Guy.
So who is this mystery new guy about to take over this hour of the night?
Glenn Beck.

I work night shifts which does suck and listened to coast to coast
from the 1 am to 5am slot have now grown into phil hendrie to fil
it and only listen to coast to coast maybe 1 time a week maybe 2.
After rusty and allen I will put on Conway Jr. from KFI from 12am to 1am
Before I was forced into retirement, I started my work shift on most day’s at 11pm and There wasn’t much on AM or fFM, so I purchased a XM unit for my truck and and found that I used to listen WOW (the big red 1) and some Coast to Coast. Other than that, just music.
Later in the day I would listen to some talk radio, The biggest advantage with XM was, I didnt have to switch stations as often as I did driving though-out different areas of the State, and the 5 western states.
Roy Masters is live, but I guess he has few listeners….
What you say is true – his show is fed from Midnight-3 AM Eastern, but he only has one station that carries the first hour live that I know of – KDWN-AM in Las Vegas, and they only carry the first 2 hours.

From what I’ve heard Roy Masters say on the air, he is paying radio stations to put his show on the air, and he’s for the past few years not had enough money coming in, so he’s stopped paying to have the show on a lot of stations. For a while now, he’s been trying to get government funding to treat military veterans with PTSD by using his meditation techniques.
While I don’t think I would trust him to hold my watch while I went swmming, he is at least interesting and unique.
