From 9AM to Noon (ET) on Sundays, Premiere Radio has been syndicating a peculiar show for probably 5 years. The host of The Jesus Christ Show is a Catholic priest who spends three hours talking to callers as if he is Jesus Christ (although he doesn’t speak in Aramaic or Hebrew). He’s not delusional – he doesn’t think he is Jesus, but just answers as he thinks Jesus would answer it.
The show had been a local show on Clear Channel’s KFI-AM and someone got the idea to syndicate it.
This show is one of the syndicated shows that just slowly fades away losing one affiliate at a time and then one day it just isn’t there any more.

The show is down to 6 affiliates that I know of, all but 2 of which are Clear Channel stations.
Wonder how well a call-in show would do if a priest of the Synagogue of Satan would answer callers questions as he thought Beelzebub would answer? Could get a bit slicey/dicey.
I’m guessing someone must have already done that… Howard Stern or Phil Hendrie come to mind as possibilities. It would not be difficult to line up sponsors – strip clubs, casinos, state lotteries, abortion clinics, drug rehab programs…
