How’s that for a flashback?
Pia got her moment of fame by being a young woman hanging around with an aging Frank Sinatra.
Jerry Doyle was promoting a charity event in Vegas and mentioned her name. She is 58 years old and would like to have a career comeback.
Jerry sounds more and more like he’s doing a local show in Las Vegas rather than a national show. Perhaps he sees the handwriting on the wall.
KDWN had a heck of a good line up this time last year, the lead in to Doyle was strong. Hey, nothing stays the same – miss Heidi. The radio market will probably remain as fractured as the economy for the foreseeable future. I’m preparing my company to operate with 30% less income for the next 18 months. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and emerge from turbulence ready to kick the competition’s ass.
Oh, Pia (sounds like a Sicilian curse)…. I’m going to start saving up for that Rula Lenska stage review. Steve and Edie hung around Ol Blue Eyes picking up crumbs for a lot longer – at least they could really sing.
Never heard of her. What is she famous for?
FWIW, Jerry Doyle has done ‘Vegas-centric’ themed shows for a number of years, so I don’t see this as a new development. I sometimes catch his show and have enjoyed it when he discusses national news and politics. However, when he goes into Vegas mode I find it about as interesting as a Rusty Humphries-Suzanne Somers informercial.
You may be right that Jerry ends up with a local Vegas show only, he certainly isn’t lighting up the ratings with new listeners.
Hmmmmm, a Pia Zadora ?
Is that like a ‘Moon Zappa’ ?
Parrott.
More like an Andrea McArdle without the voice, cute looks or ability to act
