Note the ABC logo poking out of the entrance window.
Something about that ESPN facade cut into the building really just seems wrong, even with my limited appreciation for architecture.
For anyone curious, the sloping thing in front is the escalator to the State Street subway, the main North / South subway line (The Red Line)
The name of the guy I blame for the disaster known as Barack Obama appears in that photo. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
I knew it! Mike Ditka did it…
Only slightly related, Michael Savage’s newsletter today (which I didn’t read) says Mitt Romney lost because he didn’t go on Savage’s show.
My memory is fuzzy, but I don’t remember Savage wanting Romney to win.
Savage wanted Obama to lose but didn’t have much faith that Romney could make that happen.
When David Axelrod and his gang of Chicago political thugs facilitated the exposure of the divorce records of a front-running GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate, forcing him to pull out of the race, Ditka (a godlike figure in Chicago and environs) was reportedly asked to run as a Republican against Democrat candidate Barack Obama, then a state senator who had accomplished next to nothing in the Illinois legislature. Ditka, it is said, decided not to run in favor of staying at ESPN. The GOP dragged the bumbling Alan Keyes across state lines to fill the slot, paving the way for the smooth talking Obama to score an easy win on his unlikely way to the White House.
