President of all the peoples

From today’s Tom Taylor newsletter:

“Obama rallied voters, calling a number of African-American radio shows yesterday. USA Today says he was taping guest spots on the Rev. Al Sharpton’s SupeRadio show, Reach Media’s Yolanda Adams show, and the Joe Madison show on Radio One’s WOL, Washington (1450) and satellite radio.”

He isn’t rallying voters – there is no election any time soon, 95% of their audiences have only one criteria when they vote and President Obama can’t run again. He’s prepping his army to create fear. You can bet that none of the hosts asked him – “but wasn’t sequestration your idea because Harry Reid refused to even consider passing a budget?”

Rush Limbaugh didn’t even know Al Sharpton had a daily syndicated radio show when he had been doing it for at least three years. The White House knows that nobody who isn’t a member of the Black Communisty listens to these shows and they talk freely about their hatred of people not like them without consequences.

A little subtext here is I’m wondering why the sudden appearance of indictments of black leaders by the Eric Holder Department of Justice this week – Warren Ballentine, New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin, Jesse Jackson Jr, the trial of former mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick… Coincidence or is there another motivation at work?

Here is the news story from the USA today stenographer

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2013/02/21/obama-sequester-radio-al-sharpton-joe-madison/1935215/

It mentions the President also talked to eight TV stations

  2. I’ve seen bits of left-wing slant in Tom Taylor’s work before but today’s lead item could easily have been provided by the Democrat National Committee. His uncritical use of the expression “indiscriminate cuts” is a giveaway that he doesn’t know anything about the reality of the situation and is buying into Obama’s baldfaced lies.

When Rush talks about the radio consultants who told him that syndicated talk in midday was an ignorant fool, I envision Tom. He is just waiting to topple the king of AM talk, and actively pushing his radio industry readers to that goal – repeating the mantra from Dial Global that Rush’s “slut” statement is the reason Thom Hartmann isn’t an economically viable product in a free market.

His newsletter today has a correction that is emblematic of the radio business and the NAB mentality in general. Yesterday he discussed the close race for #1 in Denver. Someone let him know that K-Love, the contemporary Christian music station is actually #1. Because they are funded by contributions and not advertisers, there is no point to pay Arbitron for ratings data – the people paying for the ratings see K-Love is #1 but are never going to let it into their consciousness. The anecdote section frequently is stories from radio people talking about their Sunday morning shifts playing religious programs and how much they enjoyed making mistakes

The WSJ is referring to the reduction of $80 billion in the increase in Federal spending as a “impending government shutdown”. It is no such thing. At most employees will have to take an unpaid day off once a month. If that shuts anything down, it is more accurately “unionized government employee extortion”

Kwame KilPatrick, former Mayor of Detroit was found guilty today of 24 of 30 charges. Don’t look for it in the news.
