So I guess the “Sanctuary” movement to import Catholics from Latin America to fill the empty parishes in America will now move forward at full speed. Social Justice ahead.

Bring them into the USA so they get richer and sent more money to the Vatican than they could otherwise.
These are Christians that don’t follow the gospel according to Rove, Romney, Huckelbee or Santorium.
I have a copy of Pat Buchanon’s Death of the West, in which he says the storm of (mostly Hispanic) immigrants will undermine the Christian social structure. I found that odd since most Hispanics are Catholic.
You might think – oh he thinks Catholics aren’t Christians… But if you’ve watched him at all, he constantly reminds you he was raised in a Catholic family and educated by Jesuits, and attended Georgetown University.
Whatever his point was, that left me confused about him and his book.
It is always interesting hearing about the differences between Catholic and Protestant Christians, especially from an Irishman.
The American southeast Caucasians have traditionally be white Anglo-saxton protestants… decedents of the original settlers from Europe without the waves of immigrants from the last century from southern and eastern Europe that came here seeking work in the industrialized cities.
Southern Democrats, and the bible belt Republicans they became were protestants. Having said that, aren’t most of the current Supreme Court justices Catholic?
No wonder some of President Nixon’s speeches didn’t make sense.
Enjoy:

I thought it might be piling on today, but I asked this question a while back, and I have a “poll” question on the same topic. The country is roughly 50% Protestant Christian, yet not one of the 9 justices on the court reflects that religious perspective.
Even though 6 of the nine are Catholic, they haven’t overturned Roe v Wade which asserted Federal jurisdiction over reproductive issues. Are the pro-life evangelical Christians just being “played” each election? The two guys who asserted a few days before the election that (more or less) rape and the consequences are God’s will did huge damage. The timing of when to pull that string was done flawlessly. That’s why we now have totalitarian wannabes running the country.
If it isn’t God’s will, who’s will is it? Satan?
Buchanon is not entirely wrong because once the immigrants are Westernized into the pop culture of America they will no longer practice their parent’s faith. The core structure for positive human achievement is founded on marriage between one man and one woman. The offspring who are raised in a family generally become good parents, not always, but the majority do. So long as Catholic’s promote the core idea of the traditional family it makes the enemies job that much harder.
Rush had an articulate and interesting call in the last hour talking about today’s BIG event. This is the important portion of the transcript:
“CALLER: Well, my name is Ferris Fluke, and what I am is something that was born of the Catholic Church, raised in the Catholic Church, studied it, understand it, and know its enemies. Like you can read the stitches on a fastball, I know these lesbo-communists and these homo-communists inside and out. I know how they fight, I know how they won the war, and it’s similar to your insight on your topics.
RUSH: So you know these people the way I know liberals?
CALLER: Yes.”
“Buchanon is not entirely wrong because once the immigrants are Westernized into the pop culture of America they will no longer practice their parent’s faith. ” – Could be. I really don’t know.
I do know that with at extremely high rate, children will join the same political party that their parent did. Ask school district’s kid’s who they would vote for in the upcoming election, and the results almost always match the way the adults of that voting district vote.
Oh yeah, voting the same as their parents is common. That is a good observation. My point was that they will abandon their parent’s faith and coupled with your observation it makes sense. The future looks bleak as 10’s of millions more, Godless, mindless, zombies will enter the voting booths.
The 2 POTUS’s I most admire have been Kennedy and Reagan. Sure, each may have had their minor flaws but overall they saw things the same way and were true Americans. If you have 45 minutes or so to hear a really great State of the Union speech, meander on over to youtube and search for Kennedy’s 1963, SOTU speech. That was one great American. ‘They’ had to take him out because he was dangerously effective, just as they tried to take out Reagan.
Think of it this way, it is one less “killing” O’Reilly to profit from through book writing. So far, it has been Lincoln, Kennedy and now Jesus. BTW- the only youtubes of Lincoln are stills. đŸ™‚
We should reread history – the most common failing we observe is seeing the Catholic Church as a Church/Religion/Benefactor to humanity. It is a powerful world force and has been for a very long time. Watch what happens to those who snicker at the Pope’s red shoes.
There is actually a very good side to Pope Francis I – let see if the Church allows it to surface.
Just ask the Greek Orthodox Christians what happens if you don’t obey Rome.
Don’t cry for me Argentina
Don’t! Keep your distance!
Argentina is a peculiar country. It is largely settled by European immigrants from non-Spanish countries – Italy, Germany, Croatia… The Pope is pointing to how fake the label of “Hispanic” is – While George Zimmerman is a “White Hispanic”, Pope Francis is an Italian Hispanic.
About 80% of Argentinians say they are Catholics, but few participate in church activities. Evangelical Protestant Hispanics are a rapidly growing group throughout Latin America and they go to church every week. I’m not sure why.
Argentina is reaching out to Pope Francis re: the Falklands.
His response should tell us a lot about what his agenda will look like.
Will he override the will of the 99.8% of Falkland Islanders that just voted to remain British or will he choose to redistribute them to a “fairer” nation? I would be very nervous if I was a resident there.

Keep it Protestant, or bring it into the Catholic empire? How have the Brits treated Catholics?
I’m a little confused on that entire topic. The Anglican Church and the monarchy seem to go back and forth on their relationship with Rome. The King James Bible was translated to make the Bible accessible to the masses, and to some degree steer the meaning of ambiguous passages in the direction the Church of England wanted.
When I was going to Sunday School, the topic of the Great Schism between Rome and the Greek Orthodox Church was not discussed and deflected if someone asked who they were and why they celebrate Easter on a different day.
The pope is the son of an Italian rail worker. Argentina is a melting pot and doesn’t have a clear national identity.
The main signal he has sent so far is he advocates for poverty. Poverty is a moral virtue. I don’t expect him to get involved at all…. But I will admit that was the first thing I thought of as well. He seems to want to be the male version of Mother Theresa.
San Carlos de Bariloche in RĂo Negro, Argentina is near the Chilean border. It is known as Little Germany. Many of die Schwatze Sonne (the Black Sun) criminals fled there. It is an isolated part of Argentina, and of course Peron provided cover for them.
Now that Argentina has a Pope installed in Rome and then coupled with the fact that Argentina is building nuclear submarines it appears a war over the Falklands is coming some day.
