Animal Farm was not just an analogy – it is the way Socialists view human beings. We are a crop to be scientifically managed. The weak and defective must be culled, the diet must be carefully managed, fences put up to keep the government’s property from wandering off… The only thing I’ve ever agreed with PETA on is their statement – “look at how we treat animals and in 20 years that’s how humans will be treated.”

Darn it – none of that elementary school crap is ever supposed to come true! Atlas Shrugged – Animal Farm – 1984 – ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGH!
They’re betting that most people haven’t read Animal Farm as I have (it was recommended reading for us in the ’80s, when I was a teen), and Disney certainly can’t make a feel-good musical about it so they never will. I’m in my mid-forties now and my only consolation is that I won’t live to see much of the idiocracy these fools have created. The next several generations will pay for it, and (un?)fortunately for them they won’t have any idea of the once-free America they missed.
I keep telling my manager that I’m in the last quarter of the game – he’s in the second quarter, Good Luck and sorry about the giant cow patty.
Just trying to navigate the business through the rapids of the obscene county (Mecklenberg) state (NC) and federal taxes and regulations leaves little time for speculation on generational fates.
In this area though there is no work ethic, no real trying. I’m on my 4th or 5th accountant – the last one screwed up all of my quarterly withholding and left me holding the fines and penalties bag. It has gotten to the point when I hear “‘yall” I just hang up or throw the application away. When I hear “si Senior” I pull a chair out. 6 million bible thumpers and not even a passing familiarity with the Protestant work ethic. Was there ever?
