In a related announcement, the USDA announced that there will be a ban on the growing of red skin potatoes

Or alternatively, the mascot of the Washington football team will become a baked potatoe

I remember back in the mid-1980’s a bunch of left leaning PC newspapers tried some crap like this. They refused to print the name of the Redskins team in their papers. Instead they would be referred to as ‘the Washington team’ or such some blather. If memory serves they did the same with the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, etc. (The Greensboro News & Record was one such fish wrapper that adopted this policy back then, I can’t remember what other papers were involved).

In a related situation, I was flipping by NFL games a couple of times this year and I noticed that the mid-field logo was blurred out (I saw this on both Fox and ESPN). I assume this is another deliberate PC effort by the mass media in this country.

Orwell must be spinning in his grave.

New word ok, if from heart… perhaps even applied to Redskins?
