The MIT campus is not a place people randomly enter at 10 PM. It’s an easy walk from the campus to the bombing site. I have a relative who lives 2 blocks from there, and spent several days at his place two years ago.
My instincts are those two guys are international students at MIT and their motive will end up having a Middle East connection. The guy in the cowboy hat isn’t completely in the clear. He apparently talked to the bombers as they left their backpack at his brother’s feet.
Well let’s see how this develops.
I had another thought related to the Boston Marathon bombing….it’s another one of those times when I need to ‘make a long story short’ but consider many of the prior bombing, shooting, 911 events that have occurred. OK, so consider this; How much time elapsed between the ‘event’ until we were given the ‘official’ explanation of who perpetrated the crime, and the reasons why the perps did what they did? The ‘official’ explanation, and who done-it, was forthcoming almost as fast as your typical food order from McDonald’s.
This time it ‘feels’ different. There have been news reporters coming forward who cited ‘confidential’ insider information that was being leaked to them from their ‘sources’ only to have the information invalidated. The FBI and other agencies have scheduled press briefings that were canceled, postponed with little to no convincing explanation given as to the reason why. Possible perps are being quickly
expelled back to their homes (Saudi Arabia) and out of the USA.
So, let’s do some ‘high octane speculation’ as to the reason why the ‘answers’ are either invalidated or just plain wrong…..
First consider this; all of the prior events were planned ahead of time and executed with near flawless perfection so that all the info could flow freely and smoothly into the LameStream media and communicated to the American masses.
Secondly consider this; the recent events were NOT planned ahead of time, but were executed with near flawless perfection, and insider information being leaked to the LameStream media has been wrong.
Who is in control?
The over-reach by so much of government (domestic spying / ammo purchase / outright stealing ………) might be coming back to bite them in the a$$. Hell hath no fury like a used panty waist useful idiot liberal scorned. Elements of the media (if they have any self respect left – A BIG IF) may be resigning from the Fifth Column Club. At some point there is so much Vaseline and gauze over the lenses that even the camera goes blind. We’re ready for your close up Miss Streisand.
I think just the opposite. Expect more cameras and data bases because they were helpful in finding suspects quickly in this tragedy. Like guns, cameras and data bases can be used for good like it was here or for evil.
I remember Republican President Nixon’s enemies list. If everything you do is on a video and in a database somewhere, that is fine until you are on someone’s enemy list. Then a search will show that you jaywalked last month, and drove 30 mph through a school zone in 2012… and it is time for you to get a long list of citations. Remember all the government employees that were searching their files to come up with dirt on “Joe the Plumber” in 2008? That is an evil use of technology.

This “Chechnyan” was not random, There were Navy seals roaming around the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Someone knew these ol boys were up to something.

I’m shocked, I tell you. The [alleged] bombers are brothers who lived in Cambridge – they are/were Chechnyan – the folks that have been a problem for the Russians.
My relative texted me at 6:30 am that 10 police cars had just zoomed down his street – the brother from the shoot out last night is dead, the other is still on the loose and people in Cambridge have been told to stay inside and keep their doors locked
I caught the news conference at around 5:45 ET saying that Watertown was sectioned off, people were instructed not to come out, and the call 911 if anyone approaches their house other than police. People driving nearby were also instructed not to stop on the road to pick up any passengers.
At that point I called and woke up an old college friend from Watertown to advise him not to go out even to get the morning paper. He indicated that mine was the second call to wake him up, the Watertown police had called him at 2 AM and asked him to lock his doors and stay inside. That was right after the shootout. They had not told him the suspect was wanted in the bombing.
According to their father (who went back to Russia), the younger brother (the one in the white hat) is a “2nd year medical student”, which doesn’t make sense as he is 19 years old. He’s probably a 2nd year undergraduate who is hoping to be a doctor.
Given this clearly is having a Russian connection, Syria looks like a more possible motive. Cambridge is a very expensive place to live for a decade unless someone else is paying your bills

A neighbor said he saw high resolution pictures of both bombers on a british newspaper internet web site on Wednesday (the day of the bombing). He went back looking for the pictures and they had been removed. Has anyone seen anything about this?
I haven’t but in earlier days I had seen pictures from a UK site identifying potential suspects carrying backpacks. It turns out these people had nothing to do with the crime and the internet attention was disruptive to their lives as one might expect.
I caught the news on Fox News last night showing the photos. As their roundtable indicated, the FBI indicated they only wanted to talk to the two men in the photos released yesterday.
There was consensus that that we would know quickly whether those two were involved. Anyone innocent seeing their picture on TV like that would contact authorities quickly to clear things up. Then Dr Charles Krauthammer had some outstanding advice for anyone that might be innocent with a mug shot shown all over the world. He said, don’t just travel intending to visit your local police department unannounced – phone ahead and indicate your intentions.

Let’s celebrate and enjoy that some brave civil servants put themselves at risk and saved lives by finding the bombing suspects and removing their ability to blow up 8 year old kids. Did it solve all the world’s problems? Of course not, but enjoy the good when you see it and stop focusing on only the imperfections.
My above comment, about photographic quality pictures of the two brothers appearing on a British web site the same day as the bombing, suggested some level of official knowledge, prior to the bombing, of the brothers and their connection with the bombing.

The evidence, thus far, suggests we were/are being spun an orchestrated fairy tale.
The FBI is feeding into this speculation. If they do have video as they claim of one of the suspects dropping bomb #2 on the ground, they could have saved a lot of time and cut off a lot of the reddit type speculation if they cad released those images as soon as they were sure. They lived across the river in Cambridge and the younger one was attending uMass Dartmouth. Lots of people knew them. Maybe they were hoping to find them without the public’s help to avoid other attacks once the brothers knew they had been IDed
Another piece of wrong MSM reporting (I heard this later on WLS) is the brothers did not rob a gas station. In a real quirk of fate, someone else was robbing the gas station as they pulled up to put gasoline in their vehicle. When the police arrived for the robbery in progress, there were the brothers standing there.
My instincts are they are connected with Russian clandestine services and this is payback / warning to stay out of Syria.
The above is also wrong. The guy who was carjacked was dumped off at the gas station and he was the one who called police. The gas station owner refused to call 911

There are always a few ‘facts’ that will change as more of this unfolds. Sometimes the new ‘facts’ are wrong in in an attempt to paper-over the earlier ‘facts’.
Anyway, your comment above RE: the Russians could have some validity. It has been written about on the Huffing n’ Puffing site about the strained relations between da ObamaNation and Putin. The recent legislation called the Magnitsky Act is a forthcoming list of Russians who will no longer be allowed into America. Putin is quite angry over this and has responded with a list of Americans who will not be permitted into Russia.
Hopefully Obama’s name will make it onto Putin’s list because I can think of certain places in America where da ObamaNation is no longer free to roam.

The sort of thing any good son would keep secret from his mother…. I mean whose mom wants to have her son announce one day, “Hey, mom! I’ll be bombing a bunch of women and children tomorrow. Want to come watch me play?”

Thant’s not the kind of thing that the average Joe would do. Based on my viewing of Hollywood, it is the kind of thing one government would do when planting an agent in a foreign country.
