Change at Jamaica

No, ganja is not being outlawed

This is a bizarre video, even by my standards

If you aren’t familiar with New York City, many people who work in the city live on Long Island – they commute using the Long Island Railroad.

Jamaica is a key transfer station – you can stay on the LIRR and go under the East River and wind up at Penn Station around 34th street or you can transfer to the New York Subway system and ride several different trains into Manhattan further North.

So here we have the MTA/LIRR putting on a musical performance called “Change at Jamaica”, capturing the essence of the station in music

If you’ve been here a while you’ll recognize the head of the LIRR – she was featured in a speech about the wonderful facility built with federal dollars to wash the outside of their rail cars

Something tells me the concert wasn’t a fundraiser for MTA/LIRR. 😉

Follow the money, the federal government isn’t.
