This is exactly what happened in Egypt at the start of the mass protests – except Egypt had more leaks – satellite links that bypassed the government controlled routers – but people who thought they were being helpful were actually publishing a list of the remaining holes.

I’m thinking this means Syria cut itself off. I don’t know if another country could spoof bgp data to fool routers into thinking a country went away. It’s also possible it’s just the old fashioned way – send in commandos and cut fiber optic cables or use planes to bomb Internet infrastructure.

There is speculative belief flying about that this indicates US ‘special ops’ are being inserted into Syria. Hmmmm….wonder if any special ops forces being used in Syria could possibly shed some light on what happened in Ben Gazie, but of course will now be eliminated?

Probably just coincidence, or my own cynicism.

I believe what you maybe meant was “distract attention from the Wednesday hearings on “why Hillary lied” and what President Obama did or didn’t do….

Since I don’t think we should have been in Libya at all and shouldn’t be arming the Al Queda rebels trying to take over Syria,, I’m not as excited about this as Hugh Hewitt. It takes 67 votes to convict a President in the US Senate. That is never going to happen. Republicans hold 45 seats. The President could kill a bald eagle on live TV while skeet shooting and no Democrat will admit to seeing it. This is as futile as asking for his birth certificate or trying to repeal Obamacare.

I have looked askance at Alex Jones types – but – when I see to total failure to trim / extinguish some of this stuff (Obamacare, spending absurdities….) in the House maybe there is something behind Jones’ thoughts on government manipulation.

The odds against rational, dispassionate thinking in Washington or the media that hold individual liberty paramount and the Constitution sacrosanct seem so great as to be lost to America. Many of America’s institutions are occupied territory at this point. It’s sad; my generation neglected to trim the wick of liberty and it is probably going out in my lifetime.

This constant running to impeachment as some sort of salve is a symptom of judicial incompetence and the absence of executive leadership. Oh, what the hell – I’m in the last quarter of my game with a slim chance of making the playoffs, grab a basket of peanuts, order another beer and watch the show.

Yep, Hilliary lied, Americans died, and puppies cried.

It was always amateur hour in the state department while Hilliary was there, and now ol’ ‘Herman K. Munster’ is going to take it to a new low. She should be in jail.

Sometimes the market goes dark- flash crashes due to liquidity disappearing when it is needed most. Nidster, this one is for you- it shows HFT is come cool moving charts. A really good presentation worth all 15 mins of your time. It starts out slowly, but hang in there-
