38 year old Nathan Louis Campbell turned himself into police at the Santa Monica police station and has been charged with murder.
No mug shot is yet avaialble almost 24 hours. It’s hard to imagine why the suspect description was inaccurate – then again, Venice beach is known for its drug dealing and prostitution right out in plain sight.

Nathan Campell is a middle aged loser with a long history of arrests, unpaid rent, shoplifting… He had been living in Colorado, the state that legalized marijuana and wound up at Venice Beach, a place well known for the easy availability of bogus “medical marijuana” prescriptions
With no California ID, that may have been an obstacle to “legally” getting pot. According to the booking, he is 5’11” and weighs only 140 pounds, which suggests eating food may not be his top priority in life.

I am waiting for the new personalized Washington Post so that I can know whether the suspect is registered as a Democrat or a Republican, and how often that he voted in the last 10 years.
