The target here is a prostitute in Venice beach – while that’s interesting in its own, what I noticed more was the static image behind the Virta logo.
Is there any doubt the country is militarizing the police force?
Note the language isn’t right or wrong… or necessary… but “legally justifiable”.
“probably pretty safe to assume she is HIV positive, and all it will take is a scratch”. Case Closed.
*blam*
Here is another slightly different scenario
Is there any doubt the country is militarizing the police force?
NO, if fact the evidence points to the opposite view. I would post a link, but it might frighten people.
I just wonder why the president is so silent about this. Is it good for the country?
A police state is only good for those who are in power, which is used to keep them in power.
How about the Republican Reps Rogers and Bachman trying to lead people to believe that the NSA does not have access to a phone book and doesn’t know how to do a table join. Criminal. Time to vote for the Libertarian Party.

“Rep. Rogers repeated Bachmann’s “phone book” line on CBS’ Face the Nation July 28. “There is more information in a phone book than there is in this particular big pile of numbers,” Rogers told host Bob Schieffer. Of course, if there really was more personal information in a phone book than in the NSA archives, then — one might sarcastically suggest — the federal government could save the $20 billion-plus annual cost of NSA surveillance by appropriating $2,500 in shipping costs for sending a set of the nation’s phone books to NSA headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland.”
Good link and observation. The American people have nowhere to turn these days to get an honest representative government on the federal level. Even the state and locals are iffy these days.
Although I do not like to watch TV very much, on occasion I do try and catch a bit of the CSI, Castle, Person of Interest type programs just to catch the dialectic-of-the-day. There are always scenes where the cops, or whoever, have access to everyone’s phone records, and it is always portrayed as a REALLY GOOD thing to do because they catch the Bad Guys.
