Family Radio just offered to mail me a pamphet to explain what Jesus is about. I don’t think it will get here in time.

You know, until a week ago, I was probably one of only a few dozen people who knows who Harold Camping is. Almost every newspaper in the world ran at least one story about this prediction, all mocking him. From where I sit, his prediction has been wildly successful.

The oddest story so far is that the Christian Science Monitor decided to attack him. Talk about the kettle calling the pot black, or whatever that saying is.

I’m now been given the opportunity to make a “love offering” to support the programming by sending it in the mail to a PO Box in Oakland, California.

Now I’ve been offered the chance to get a May 21, 2011 is judgement day bumper sticker for my car….

Why on earth would they still be accepting “offerings”? — they certainly can’t take it with them.

P T Barnum was right and televangelists (and radiovangelists!) prove him so everyday. Step right up suckers, I mean uh, brethren, and see the amazing judgement!

The network was carrying a recorded loop of programming. That became clear the second time I heard the story about the family whose mother died and how Johnny was learning how to cook to help Dad cope, and how their Aunt was going to take the kids for the summer to be with Grandma out on the farm, since Dad had to work and wouldn’t be able to watch the kids during the day.

So with Johnny and Becky safely at Grandma’s, Dad was free to go to the strip clubs and get drunk, and catch HIV while injecting heroin with a transvestite hooker, who Dad took to Massachusetts and married.

I made up the last part.

Our house is situated with a church behind us and another across the street from our driveway… all day long I’ve seen a steady stream of people, including lots of younger women in light spring skirts and shear dresses walking around and then departing.

Not sure what this ‘rapture’ involves, but if it happens today I am probably going to hell.

    😉

If any of you are no longer here, now would be the time to say something

I left and came back. You can read all about it in my new book “There really is a limitless chocolate factory in heaven” available for a love gift of at least $49.95. I have share the double-top secret stuff that Glenn Beck has yet to disclose… hurry…operators are standing by …

      • foyle says:

error correction: last sentence should begin “I even share…”

My typo was due to the urgency of my top secret report available only to my subscribers 🙂

So, if I’m here now, is that proof that I wasn’t called up?

  7. Parrott says:

wonder what they will predict as the new date for rapture will be? No man knows the actual date.
Besides we’ll eventually know, cause the animals will be rapture-d first.
I am kinda glad it didn’t happen, cause there are a few more things I need to do. I would like to see Alaska. I want to ride my motorcycle across the U.S. Hike the upper most part of the AT, before I get old and can’t.

I just visited the Family Radio Network’s web site. If you didn’t know about the prediction, you would never know that May 21, 2011 was any special day. The web site has been stripped of all references to Judgment Day, and no explanation
