Michael Savage says he’s taking Hannity’s time slot

Keep in mind this is only the Cumulus owned former ABC stations – Hannity says he decided a long time ago he was not going to renew with Lew Dickey.

Friday, Savage announced he will be taking the Wall Banger’s time slot. I see no reason to think that isn’t true.

I tend to think Levin will bail as well.

The worst show of Savage’s radio program is 100,000x better than any of Hannity’s best shows. When they do reruns called the best of Hannity, I keep waiting for the best parts and it never happens, guess there were no best of unless there was a guest host.

A little clarity – Levin is syndicated by Cumulus Media (who acquired ABC Radio). Unlike Hannity, he has not ever been syndicated by Clear Channel (Premiere) although he is on many Clear Channel stations.

His current contract was signed in January 2009 and described as “multi year” – I can’t find anything more specific than that. If it was year to year options, Dickey already had the chance to not renew, unless the option was only Levin’s choice. If it was a 5 year deal, then it will be up at year end. His intense hatred of Savage will only make staying at Cumulus all the more unbearable.

Premiere’s 6-9 PM competition is Donald Trump’s munchkin Andy Dean. At least here, he is getting 2.2% of the 6-9 PM Audience, compared to Levin’s 42.7% – his share puts him in 9th place behind Hugh Hewitt, Medved delayed broadcasts and Roger Hedgecock. This wouldn’t be a hard choice for Premiere.

Here is an interesting link about why the Toledo station dropped his show

I had long said that I didn’t like Hannity and that I liked Levin even less. I was pleasantly surprised to find an hour long Hannity TV show last week where he interviewed Levin about his latest book. I was shocked to love what I heard about the book and really wished the show had been more than an hour. Here is a summary

Substantial change is going to have to start at the states – but are they willing to cut themselves free of the “free” Federal handouts ?

The key way to restore their power is to repeal the recent amendment that no longer allowed the state politicians to appoint their Senators to represent them in the Senate.

Centralized power is good for defense, but not a whole lot of other things. Better to allow the states to try different variations on laws and then study to see which variation produces the best results – just like having more than one brand of toothpaste.

On Free Talk Live last night, they were talking last night that it is just a matter of time until the nanny state will be putting you in jail for not brushing your teeth after every meal

Once dental coverage is included in Obamacare, sure. Even how, tooth decay and gum infections can lead to heart disease and other issues.

Do you think Mayor Mike was against the big sugary drinks from the mom and pop stores to give the exempted national chains an advantage for their campaign contributions, or was it because the city has socialized hospitals and he wants to reduce cost? [Note: That was a yes or no question. 😉 ]

No, The ‘givmedats’ will always be hearded to vote for some looser that proclaims they can bring the ‘cheese’ from washington.
