“Be Still and know that I am God”. Barack Obama, September 11, 2011

TRN is refeeding the America’s Morning News from September 2011 since apparently the two hosts walked out yesterday.

The show includes the clip of President Obama declaring that he is God.

It’s more than a little ironic that Roy Masters’ meditation course is called “Be still and know”

This is totally outside of things that interest me, but he says “I will be exhaulted among the nations” (Psalm 46, verse 10)

When I looked to see how that video had chopped up Psalm 46 to distort the point, I discovered that most older translations say “heathen” rather than nations.

Heathen are the non-believers in the God of Abraham.

Those mean two very different things. Part of when I lost any residual interest in Christianity was when the Marxists decided to rewrite the bible to correct the “mistakes” of things – like the error that God is a “He”, and then they created a dumbed down paraphrase version of the Bible that would be comprehensible to the drug addicts in the homeless shelters

I second the ridiculous fouling of biblical text. Outside of the KJV, you must read Aramaic or Hebrew to get the accurate translations.

My spouse and I have enjoyed listening to this good show (America’s Morning News). McCaslin can be a bit tedious for our taste but Dana Mills is always terrific.
Oh well, it’s back to Quinn & Rose or WSJ (Gordon Deal).
Keep up the great work and entertainment

  4. “Bleed, bleed, poor country!
Great tyranny, lay thou thy basis sure,
    For goodness dare not check thee. Wear thou thy wrongs;
The title is affeered.—Fare thee well, lord.
I would not be the villain that thou think’st
For the whole space that’s in the tyrant’s grasp,
And the rich East to boot.”

    –Macbeth, Act 4, Scene 3

Looks like it’s back to Quinn & Rose or Gordon Deal (WSJ). I will miss Dana Mills but not John McCaslin so much.

In the last few weeks, Clear Channel has been dumping local hosts. I’m not optimistic about Q&R’s future as their Pittsburgh regional network is fading. Are they gone from Sirius/XM yet?

Top center of the page says there are still there… but is it up to date?

        • Art Stone says:

I would say to check on XM’s web site, except it’s a rat’s nest of contradictory and out of date information

okay, that is clearly not a Premiere channel, so I guess they landed.

            Who pays them?

          • Art Stone says:

From their warroom page – suggested letter to two people are Sirius:

“I listen to America’s Morning Show with Quinn & Rose on Sirius XM Channel 244. Starting on September 18th, Channel 244 it will no longer be a part of the Sirius XM Radio lineup. As a subscriber to XM, I’d like to see Quinn & Rose on another channel on Sirius XM.
            Respectfully,
            “

10 years ago, new cars came with Sirius/XM… today they come with Pandora or its competitors.

SiriusXM needs to stop overpaying for content.

          • Art Stone says:

Sirius isn’t paying that much for content – the large majority of their expenses are paying kickbacks to the car companies for putting in the radios

      • Not sure. The CC/XM deal is winding down, right? I know CC sold its XM shares earlier this year and all the CC-programmed channels are going away soon. Truck drivers everywhere will be frustrated by this.

        • Art Stone says:

I ate lunch yesterday at a truck stop. Having grown up spending a lot of my youth on Greyhound buses, if I didn’t have vision problems, I think I would have had the personality to be a long haul truck driver. I could see myself driving across Kansas in the middle of the night listening to Herb Jepko and living out of the truck. It’s not probably what my school guidance counselor would have liked.

          • CC1s121LrBGT says:

This guy stole Herb’s job… its a crime going back nearly 1042 years ago 😉

          • Art Stone says:

Well, Long John Nebel was in between, I think. I have just a little vague memory of maybe hearing Jepko on DX fron KOA, or perhaps on some MBS affiliate.

In the 1970s, the town I was living in (NC) had a class C AM station (1400 khz 1000 watts day/night), but of all things at midnight, they played the Lords Prayer and turned off the transmitter until the next morning. The guy I was in choir with at the school was their evening DJ and went on to a moderately successful career in radio (he landed at WBT after high school). WBT of course boomed in at night.

  6. Nidster says:

Of course everyone noticed the unending BlameStream Media criticism aimed toward al-Obama for injecting a Christian religious text into the public discourse.
