“You want real news, go to Al Jazeera”

Art Bell is Back

It couldn’t be clearer that Art Bell is out to get George Noory, who Premiere just signed to a long term contract renewal.

At the tail end of the Time Magazine interview, Art talks about his preference in cable TV news and says there is only one worth watching – Al Jazeera

I have found it to be good too – they are not trying to position themselves as insiders favored by the politicians and the first to get the inside interview and “breaking news”. Instead, they seem to focus on the analysis and digging deeper into stories than the mainstream media does. They are an international channel and their North American broadcast includes an hour of news focused on the United States. I have only seen it twice but found it a lot like a “60 minutes” story in its depth… maybe a PBS NewsHour but with a real budget.

I understand it is not owned by an American company, and I would never recommend that anyone get all their news from only one source. Keep in mind that almost everyone has an opinion whether they tell you or not. Having said all that, they do a competent job and are not trying to ingratiate themselves with American politicians of either the left (MSNBC and CNN) or right (Fox News). I plan to tune in more often and understand their perspective as I do with RT.com – from Putitin’s Russia.

… the real question is this – Does Art Bell really like it, or is he just trying to generate buzz for his new show? 😉

President Barack Hussien al-Obama waived anti-terrorism provisions of a federal law, the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), which ban the supply of weapons, money and licenses to terrorists. The UN says many of the “rebels” in Syria are al-Queda groups who are involved in numerous crimes committed in Syria.

So Google it and see who reported that he took the action and when?

Hmmmmmm….no BlameStream Media in there, and where’s Al Jazeera on the story?

    • Art Stone says:

Valid point – Qatar owns Al Jazeera and probably is a country that wants us to overthrow Assad – and was very much involved in overthrowing Libya

While their coverage in Libya was one sided, they actually had reporters near the fronts giving actual coverage of events – not just sitting in a hotel in Tripoli or Benghazi rewriting handed out press releases.

      • Nidster says:

Maybe Al Jazeera’s reporters dress-down and blend in with the rest of the jihadists. Who knows? The one-sided coverage doesn’t bother me that much. So long as I know the bias of the reporting and who’s fingerprints are all over the story then I can read between the lines and deduce something of value…good, bad, indifferent or just plain lying.

Was it retroactive to cover Fast’n’Furious, or will Holder still need a pardon in January 2017?

Where o’ where has Paul Harvey gone? Just when we needed him! Good Day!
