Washington state grocery workers vote 98% to strike over Obamacare

Today, if you are a unionized grocery store worker putting in 16 hrs a week, the union contract says you get health insurance. The unionized chains are saying they have to conform to the ACA and only offer health insurance to people working 30+ hours a week – work less than 30, you’re going to have to go to healthcare.gov and pay for your own insurance.

OK, here is the ‘perfect’ solution: By fiat the union simply re-writes the contact so that anyone working about 16hrs a week will stay on the payroll; 30+hrs a week workers get a choice to reduce hours to 29hrs or be fired; then the union/company can hire more workers. The union simply needs to remind the workers that by reducing hours means more part-time workers can be hired and that helps boast the Rate of Employment since more workers will be working and it helps Obama stick it to those dirty, low-down Pea Tartiers.
