http://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/blog/2013/10/clear-channel-adds-more-muscle-to.html
While Clear Channel rids itself of staff, it has money to hire two people to help organize the political activities of the company. Remember that Bob Pittman is a MAJOR donor to the Democratic Party.
The two new hires will report to Executive VP of Political Srategy Nathan Daschle – yes, he is the son of Tom Daschle.
So let’s say you make a deal to sell 30 second spots to Democrats for $5, and charge Republicans $100. Who would ever know?
I’d want to ask any new potential FCC chair about this. 😉
Isn’t that the FEC’s job?
Who should do the same thing for newspapers?
Who should do it for the web pages of the broadcasters? .. or the video streams of the newspaper sites?
FCC had strayed from the technicals of frequencies, antennas, and power and into content long ago. They today still accept listener and viewer complaints about content and use it to revoke licenses.
off topic – political option for Virginia voters:

So she wants to cut state spending by 25%, but doesn’t mention how or what
Here is the budget

There are only two items that begin to approach that – Medicaid and Education
If I followed it, 45% of local school system funding comes from the state, but not evenly. The state funds schools in districts with small tax bases more heavily – to not do that equalization would cause a Federal judge to take control in order to enforce the right to an adequate public education.
Good luck on ending publicly funded education.
There is little correlation between funding and quality education. In fact, since the creation of the federal Department of Education under President Carter, the quality of US education has been steadily declining
