Death at Lone Survivor

The man responsible for creating Tampa’s swat team (retired for almost 20 years) was annoyed that during the previews prior to the movie Lone Survivor, a 41 year old man was using his cell phone. When the man refused to comply with the retired police officers demand to stop texting, the issue was resolved by the retiree police officer pulling out his gun and shooting the man dead. About 25 people were in the theater.

Every town had such clairvoyant people on the force, every town would not have to fear crime.

Alex played the tapes of the beating and how the guy was crying out for his father. Hell you can tell when someone is a threat. They had like 20 backup cops. That was bad. I wonder what evidence they presented that allowed the jury to arrive at that verdict?
I also wonder how that jury is going to sleep at night later on after they cash their checks

My only involvement in jury duty was in Flint, Michigan. It was near the end of the fiscal year and they needed to spend their jury money. First they had you call a phone number to see if they would need people. Probably 100 people showed up. They needed six.

The “case” was an auto accident where the plaintiff claimed back pain. We were told we would not be hearing about the accident nor question whether the person actually was in pain. Our only role would be to decide the amount of damages. My ball was not randomly picked, so I was sent home.

Well, the not so mysterious deaths keep piling up, do they not? Consider “The Strange and Mysterious Death of Mrs. Jerry Lee Lewis” if anyone is longing for a gory, gloomy, good read.

Those who have been here a while may notice my complete lack of interest in the music aspects of Radio.

She isn’t exactly portrayed sympathetically, but in the South, money does carry a lot of weight. A new transmodal train/truck just opened on the grounds of the airport. The local TV interviewed a local warehouse / trucking guy was bragging how he bought up all the land in the area when he got wind the airport was thinking of leasing out the land between the runways.

The movie Walking Tall is probably pretty close to the truth.

The dead guy was a veteran.

The theater is yet another gun free zone shooting.
