Opponents said from the beginning that the uninsured was not a big problem – that Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare and state run HIPAA high risk pools protected the most vulnerable and the others were people at low risk of major medical expenses or rich enough to not need insurance.
So the vast majority of signups are people who had their policy canceled because of Obamacare or those who already had insurance but wanted the government subsidy, thinking it will reduce their costs.
ObamaCare has the potential to be a colossal failure. Will it ever be repealed?
I admit to being a little confused by a reader’s comment, Raymond Fischer, that appears to be aimed at comments by, Larry Guillot. This must be how Raymond views his political opponents:

Larry Guillot wrote: “I also know how to work 12 and 18 hr days with 2 and 3 jobs a week to afford a descent Insurance and did that at a very young age.” So, there you have it folks, about 47% of the country voted against Obama in 2012 and they must comprise the right-wing Raymond is complaining about, having limitless greed and a brutal contempt for people who aren’t rich.
You right-wingers out there are the greedy rich, who are outraged at having to pay more to help someone else, and so therefore it follows, in Raymond’s mind, that you right-wingers out there worship at the altar of greed and wealth. I wonder if Raymond Fischer views himself as a do-gooder?
But to all you bad, god-awful, right-wingers out there, watch out, better be careful what you say or write, ’cause the Raymond Fischer’s of this world think you deserve to be………………..
A fundamental flaw in that entire train of thought is that rich people are right wing and/or Republican…. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, Theresa Heinz Kerry, Anne Cox Chambers, George Soros, Larry Page (Google)!?
The person closest to the description of the health care CEO is Stephen Hemsley, CEO of United Healthcare. He is from Minnesota and is a trustee of Minnesota Public Radio (think Prairie Home Companion)

This is the wrong place to put this, but I just was reminded that former Senator George Mitchell was CEO of Disney from 2004 to 2007. This could explain the mystery of why no ABC Radio station carries Glenn Beck.

Disney owns a part of Cumulus, I think through debt. It’s all very lawyerly and convoluted. That’s why the former ABC radio stations don’t show as being licensed to Cumulus.

When President Obama needs help, he can always turn to one of the Soros inner circle. In a speech on Jan. 17, Obama announced that his new Presidential Counsel John Podesta will lead a “comprehensive review of Big Data and privacy,” following the NSA privacy scandal that has dogged his administration.
What he didn’t mention was that Podesta is the founder of the liberal Center for American Progress. CAP has gotten $7.3 million from liberal billionaire George Soros since 2000 and was one of the keystone liberal think tanks founded after the Democrats lost the 2004 election.
Podesta was to have focused on the health care law and climate change issues, according to a Dec. 9, New York Times article.
According to Obama, Podesta will work with a group of government officials and the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, as well as reaching out to “privacy experts, technologists and business leaders,” to “look at how the challenges inherent in big data are being confronted by both the public and private sectors.” Podesta will also examine how government can “continue to promote the free flow of information in ways that are consistent with both privacy and security.” This will be done to address the ongoing NSA spying scandal that came to light in June 2013.
Podesta has a long history with Democrats. He co-chaired the transition team when Obama first came into office. He was also White House chief of staff under Clinton. Neera Tanden, who has worked for both Obama and Hillary Clinton, currently runs CAP.
CAP is an influential liberal policy writing and advocacy organization, complete with its own media outlet. Not only has CAP received more than $7.3 million from George Soros, it also has a membership program for corporations to be part of the discussion. Recently, CAP partnered with NBC Special anchor (and former wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger) Maria Shriver on a report which NBC News promoted without qualification.
CAP was part of coalition of liberal groups in March of 2012 who targeted the pro-free market American Legislative Exchange Council for having corporate donors and promoting policy initiatives not in line with liberal goals. This attack resulted in several of ALEC’s corporate members pulling out. A similar attack was launched by some of the same groups against the State Policy Network.

Parrott, reading your post caused the thought of Kim Jung Un being put ‘in charge’ of the NSA to create some interesting thoughts to cross my mind! Imagine George Soros sitting in attendance of Kim Jung Un’s latest and greatest pronouncement and with no warning, several of Kim’s goons approach Soros sitting in the front row and they order him to stand-up, empty his pockets and the goons discover a photo of President Obama on his iPhone. The goons force Soros to his knees, then command him to forsake his allegence to President Obama and pledge his allegence to Kim Jung Un.
I wonder if Raymond Fischer, mentioned in my post above, might also be in attendance, and if so, would he jump up in George Soros’ defense to verbally assault Kim Jung Un for being obsessed with unlimited greed and a brutal contempt for his people?

What is revealed in your post is that Maria Shriver [formerly the wife of RINO, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who cheated on Maria with some glamourous huzzy whose name no one remembers] has coupled-up with the liberal Center for American Progress, also known as Corporatocracy in America’s Progress. Now, if CAP has partnered with Maria Shriver it would be because she has been put in the position of being a NBC Special anchor, which is part of the Establishment Media, because Maria is a useful idiot who will promote the interests of bringing Corporatocracy to America so that everyone not connected with the elites will be their ‘happy-go-lucky’ servants.

Notice how they slipped in “private” collectors of data. The NSA problem is not about equifax creating credit reports or credit card companies creating customer profiles to detect fraud, google search histories, Amazon purchases, or Kaiser Permanente keeping medical records.
