You’re probably familiar from him on TV, but he has also had smarmy infomercials on radio for a number of years.

The link to his web site is abandoned – don’t follow it…
He is just one in a long line of people trying to buy credibility by advertising on radio. The long term effect of radio not policing its sales ethics means at this point, radio has almost no credibility left to buy – especially on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s beginning to sink into the brains running big radio that selling weekend time for infomercials causes long term damage to weekday ratings. Who could have seen that coming?
WABC-AM’s ratings in New York were released today (without Rush and Hannity) and puts it just .1% above WPAT-AM, a 5000 watt station in Paterson New Jersey broadcasting in Spanish. WABC finished behind WNYC-FM, the public radio station carrying NPR. The fat lady is singing. If you think Conservative talk radio is going to influence anything in 2014 elections, you’re delusional at this point.
Since adding Rush Limbaugh and Hannity to WOR, WOR’s ratings are down and about half of WABC. All News is up. Savage’s ratings here are 3x Hannity and pulled ahead of Beck last week (Beck was on vacation)
I suspect all talk radio is on its way out. There seems to have been a grace period where hosts were given the opportunity to “do something” about things that are going on. They all failed miserably and now wonder why folks don’t tune in.
How interested am I in listening to the constant pointing out of the flaws in this administration and then listening to the very hacks that are perpetrating it all in phone in interviews and then putting up with the barrage of screened callers who further define monotony? Not very.
Rush at least has a new career path – author of children’s books.
To read to the children he decided not to have.
And it’s not just talk radio. Pacifica Radio is in its final grand mal seizure. This week Univision changed format of two of its stations in Southern California from Spanish to English. Radio’s biggest “advertiser” is iHeartRadio.
When I’m out driving, the radio is off most of the time and I’m not listening to anything.
One thing I noticed driving out to Chicago and then down to Charlotte was the lack of people driving long distances, most apparent at the empty rest areas. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is very sick in this country.
Ah yes – Kevin Trudeau. Look in Webster’s under “scum”, “sham” or “fraud”. His photo is there.
Carnivora has changed their ad – it used to say that Ronald Reagan “requested” it at the White House. Now the ad says it was used by the US President in 1985. Sign me up!
The President had used it and now he is dead. If you use it, you will be dead some day too.
I’m thinking more along the lines of listeners saying “Ronald Who?”
People’s memories start maybe around age 4. Ronald Reagan left office in January 1989 – 25 years ago. Anyone under 30 has no memory of Reagan as President. More realistically, nobody under 40 would have much of an opinion. Nancy also was big on astrology.
President Obama was just 14 years older than that when the Russian tanks rolled into Afghanistan and left President Carter gobsmacked.
