Randi Rhodes calls it quits

Progressive talker Randi Rhodes has been the odd person out. After several prior syndicators, she wound up at Premiere radio, the syndication arm of the evil Clear Channel. If this was Sesame Street and we were playing “which one of these does not along with the others?” โ€“ Randi wins.

The thirty day notices went out โ€“ May 16 will be her last day. It didn’t take very long to do that paperwork.

Randi Rhodes? Is she Dusty Rhode’s sister?
She did a talk show? Hmmmm.. Who knew?
Like a tree falling with no one listening-did it make a sound?
She can always go back to waiting tables. Tips are better.

Did she ever have a show that wasn’t bashing GW Bush? I’m now Bush fan, but you get tired of the same old whining each day. Hard to believe it played as well after 2008 as before…. just my two ยข

Randi Rhodes – Progressive. Never a need for me to listen to that propagandist hate machine. I have the lovely Stephanie the Lesbian Hate Machine on my local AM radio. Bye Randi.

How about that conservative talker/lesbian, Tammy Bruce?

I don’t have any issues with lesbians or gays, I couldn’t remember her last name (Miller), so the lesbian tag should identify.

Tammy Bruce is fine. I find progressives are nasty and hateful. The verbal attacks they launch seem invariably full of vitriol and hate. I don’t want to spend the few years I have on the planet listening to that.

Decades ago, I started paying attention to Willard Scott’s mention of people that were over 100 years old and having a birthday. …then I started reading about them elsewhere as well.

Some of them drank. Some smoked. Some were white collar. Some were blue collar.

The one common thread I noticed is that none of them seemed to have any vitriol or hate. I think you are on the right path, briand75… and you will enjoy the journey much more that way.

My grandmother lived to be 98 and I don’t think she ever had a hate filled thought. She had a wonderful, loving, happy disposition. If my aunt had not placed her in a Nursing Home, I think she would have lived to be 100+.
The way you look at life and how you feel has much to do with your health.
She made biscuits every morning with lard and cooked bacon and sausage. They ate butter and all the things that are considered unhealthy, these days.
It really is your state of mind that counts. Smile and be happy.

Here here! … and just one comment regarding butter and lard.. back in the 1960s, it was considered very unhealthy. So much so that people were encouraged to replace them with transfats.

As almost everyone now knows, transfats are far worse than butter and lard for one’s health.

There is a donut shop in South Chicago in a pretty dangerous neighborhood that still has a large business of people risking going into their neighborhood. My suspicion is they are cooking donuts in lard.

The first fast food outlet that challenges the good nannies will reap enormous rewards as people realize what the food police have done. Eventually, they’ll have to deal with the class action lawsuits, though.
