It’s basically working now – there is no page waiting to actually show you the station (that’s a few minutes of work) – but you can see how it modifies the list as you type, and it’s pretty darn responsive [the suggesting process doesn’t log anything or have any security to bog it down)
Give it a whirl…

This is pretty boring because people generally don’t search by call signs to find stations they don’t know…. programs is an entirely different story – say you wanted to find football shows…

This is 1000x more interesting

The Program search is neat and the choices are interesting, but clicking on any of the results doesn’t take anywhere.
Yes, I mentioned that in the first one. I’m learning from a tutorial that is to put it mildly – simplistic. JavaScript is not my strongest skillset. That guy from Mozilla that designed and wrote it in a week created a seriously deficient product – as soon as you release it to the world, you lock in your mistakes. These days serious developers write in tools that generate JavaScript code as its output.
The Program Search test should now work as intended – it still isn’t replaced in the regular pages until I’m sure it doesn’t break anything
I must be doing something wrong. Doesn’t work for me. User malfunction is my best guess…
Oh, don’t use this old test version – it no longer works. I can probably retrofit it, but it’s now live in the real searches like at the top of the home page.
The old test pages now just invoke the real search, so the link above is now working as intended, although how it appears is likely to change
