I suppose if their was surveillance video on board the yacht the question remains, will it be admitted into court? Was the prostitute a lady, or a ladyboy? Who supplied the drugs, booze and all that stuff? If Hayes had an ongoing relationship with the prostitute then these should be plenty of evidence to establish a client relationship, but was there any motive to kill the guy? What secrets did the deceased have to hide, especially from Google executives? So far the reporting in on the video that showed the prostitute, in a calm demeanor, just left after the guy passed out, so were valuables and money taken? Did the prostitute get paid, and if so, how?
From what I read on the Internet (so it must be true!) he procured her services on a web site [Google no longer accepts porn ads]. She injected him with an overdose of heroin. There is video of her stepping over him, which seemed odd until I realized it happened on a boat. Nobody seemed to know what he does for google.
The guy was well loved, respected by his peers and had a great resume, but we may never know what he did at the Google X division. You know, Google is very sensitive about releasing information out that division.
What fascinates me is the reporting angle that taken to explore the booming sex worker industry in Silicon Valley’s tech industries. Some reporter even interviewed our old friend Siouxsie Q, who is now an aging, BSD sex worker.
I still don’t see any motive for a prostitute to kill-off a customer who was paying $1,000 a pop, pardon the pun. If she supplied the heroin and gave him the injection then sure she is guilty of involuntary homicide and dealing drugs. But, she could always claim the dude injected himself and appeared to go to sleep after a rousing romp in the bunk. She left, but the stories all agree she was in no hurry to leave, ipso facto, she didn’t think anything was wrong with the guy.
It’s probably worth noting he died in November. This is only news now because she was finally arrested (and/or there is nothing more useful to displace real news stories than sex scandals)
The guy was a recent hire from Apple. He apparently had some connection with Google Glass. Feel free to finish the story in your mind.

Finally, some decent journalism from Michael Daly at the Daily Beast. Daly hunted down the stories behind the story and discovered that Hayes, the geeky Google exec who was killed, had all the surveillance video uploaded directly onto a cloud server. So, in the end it mattered not that all of the cameras were functional except for the one camera in the cabin were the dirty deed was done. The detectives only had to obtain a search warrant and download the video in all of its stunning clarity.
There were tell-tell signs of premeditation such as the numerous Google searches the detectives found on Alix Tichelman’s laptop regarding how the perp could defend herself in the event she were ever implicated in administering a heroin overdose to someone. I’m not revealing all the details in the article, but Daly does develop a motive for why things went down the way they did.
Bottom-line and a telling clue regarding her mental stability was that she was an adopted child, had several abusive sexual encounters, and had attended a private high school, or two, that specialized in handling troubled teens. One quote Tichelman made in an interview for a magazine article is particularly telling and also sorta weird, “My parents said by the time I was three, I was an intense child, and already liked horror movies.”
Anyways, there are lot more details to learn and it’s a pretty good read. In a strange twist, it reminds me of a pet theory I’ve held for some time now because it further verifies my belief that Demoncrats have something in common with drug users, which is they have become addicted to voting for miscreant type candidates who run for elected office. You know, those candidates who come from broken homes or had some other troubling childhood trauma that warps their character. Perhaps those candidates are not actually deluding their electoral base as much as their electoral base consists mostly of sympathetic sycophants who themselves can not overcome their own miscreant characteristics.
