Savage: “I’m the liberal the liberals pretend to be and aren’t”

That was in Savage’s newsletter today. At this point, it’s a waste of energy to beat a dead horse. Savage fans who don’t yet get it never will.

Savage’s new explanation is he’s really just anti-authoritarian. That’s a lie too – the only question is whether he believes what he says. At the slightest difference in political philosophy, Savage invariably wants to lock the other people in prison.

So therefore Savage, and others like him, are going to be participants in some sort of vindictive movement? Or is it that once there are enough people who become fed-up with the ongoing injustices under al-Obama that they will rise up and begin to act against the people they hold as responsible for their plight?

It was reported in a story in 2008, before the election, that actors in the Bill Ayers, Weather Underground movement had estimated the need to eventually send a huge number of people to re-education camps in order to usher in and establish Ayers’ idea of Utopia, but that as many as 25 million would, or could not be, re-educated and therefore those people would need to be eliminated.

I’m not certain if, or when any of the above would come to fruition, but if history provides us any clues (170 million slaughtered world-wide in the last 100 years or so) then perhaps the FEMA camps really will be filled to overflowing capacity.

Very near the beginning of “America”, Dinesh asks Bill Ayers if he had access to a nuclear weapon when he was in the Weather Underground if he would have exploded it on the United States and his answer was “Yes”.

Because of the way other questions and answers were chopped up, I’m not certain that was the real question and answer, but it certainly sounds plausible. If that’s accurate, the whole “war on terror” looks pretty pointless. I have nothing to back it up, but the other day (after seeing the movie), I wondered if Bill Ayers was the actual planner behind 9/11. If so, it worked out brilliantly.

War on Terror, War on Drugs, War on Cancer, War on Poverty I don’t understand the mass acceptance of the fraud. I am astounded that the overwhelming majority of people refuse to examine their situation, anaylize with the goal to improve (anything, their life, their business their eternal soul – anything) and just do the next right thing. The bare minimum – the absoulte bare minimum is to provide for your own needs honestly and minimal participation in the country (vote). Can’t be bothered.

          [begin old crotchety man mode]

The big downside of the success of Ronnald Reagan and the economy was we had an entire generation of young people raised where there was never any doubt that the country was always going to be prosperous. Their expectation of what is normal is highly unrealistic – largely funded by debt.

I was having a conversation A day or two ago with a young person online (not sure how young) mentioning that bacon did not always need to be refrigerated – that it’s only necessary now because the bacon isn’t really made the original way. The cooks traveling with the wagon trains and the armies didn’t have refrigerators. You either used meat freshly slaughtered or you had meat that was cured and smoked – cheese was also useful because it didn’t require refrigeration, just a knife to cut away the mold.

My father was born in 1905 – when only rich people had electricity in their homes, and food was kept cold with blocks of ice in an icebox. Today’s expectation is that you get whatever you want whenever you want it – you want out of season fruit from Brazil and shrimp raised in Vietnam – no problem. When the system invariably breaks, we now have several generations of people who will be completely unable to fend for themselves and demand government “do something” – Hurricane Katrina was just a preview of coming attractions.

It’s like that illusion of wealth that the Democrats have been selling with the Fed printing money to drive up asset prices. Someone, they have their membership convinced that making homes unaffordable is good for the middle and lower classes. Of course, those with vast assets like the prices to go up all the time because it further separates them (the “haves”) from those that do not have by making.

Similar to convincing the unemployed, the under employed, and the low paid that flooding the market with more low skill workers is in their best interest.

Savage signed with Cumulus in October 2012 and replaced Hannity at the beginning of this year.

What I read between the lines is the “authoritarian figure” concerning him at the moment is John Dickey, the VP of operations of Cumulus and brother of the CEO Lew Dickey.

Here is the conversation I can imagine happening thus week.

John: Hello Michael, this is John Dickey. How are you doing?
Savage: damn it, how many times have I told you not to ask me that?
John: ummmm Ok. Did you see the 1.3 rating from WABC-AM yet?
Savage: don’t believe them – my listeners love me!
John: well we have iHeartradio metrics too – Arbitron/Nielson are solid numbers.
Savage: Mark Levin steals my ideas.
John: Mike, you’re from New York City. You understand the people who live there. I’m hoping you can give me some ideas what I can do to turn this situation around. But to be honest, it’s not just New York.
Weiner: I see. So you’ve decided to fire me?
John: no, I was asking for you to figure out how to make this work better. Mark Levin is getting unhappy that the folks who used to listen to his friend Hannity are not listening to your show and his ratings are falling, too
Weiner: why would you listen to the Wall banger and the Jew with the whiny voice?
John: ummm You’re Jewish too, aren’t you?
    Weiner: I knew it – you’re a Jew hater
John: Well, thanks for that insight. Your contract with Cumulus is up in a few months. We really need to solve this soon.
Weiner: how about if I tell them I’m really a liberal? Maybe that’ll work.
John: give it a try – I don’t think we have much to lose
Weiner: Stop telling me what to do!
John: ok, I guess our conversation is over.
