A while back, I started logging how long it takes to load a station’s home page. It’s important to be clear this is just the HMTL text for the home page, not the 57 things a web browser goes and chases, like Google Anaylytics, Facebook, loading videos and flash, etc…
There are now close to 50,000 measurements

ms = Milliseconds = 1000ths of a second – so the average is 1.2 seconds to transfer the html text of the home page
