Omar Suleiman, who briefly was suggested to become leader of Egypt when Mubarak was ousted, told Egypt in 2005 that they would make sure that Hamas would not win the election in Gaza in 2006, because Hamas would support the Muslim Brotherhood.
Yesterday, the “permanently open” border crossing between Gaza and Egypt was closed without warning.
