Verification update

It has been about 6 months since I asked for help specifically to go through the 14,000 or so radio stations to confirm the web site and station format, with the target of doing this check on every station every six months. So how is it going?

The average number of days has plummeted due in large part to targeting stations that hadn’t been visited in 3 years or more. The number of stations currently beyond 180 days is 945. So we are about treading water – if the current pace is maintained, most stations will be checked every six months.

So who has been the most helpful?

I am hoping to do more verifications soon, but have been crazy busy as of late.

I guess with the “holiday music” season upon us I may not have much luck until 2015 arrives.

Replacing my old computer has left me virtually offline for the last week. Between the preparation and new hardware required, I have been tearing my hair out. After several visits to Staples for new cables, I think I finally finished (except for the new driver and cable for the Xerox).
I had written down all my previous passwords, but it would not take the one to this site…thanks to the elf who allowed me to reset.
I hope now that I can resume checking stations.

Well, the blog and directory are different passwords (at one time I had it set up to share userids and passwords)

Now that I’m no longer hosting the web site from my house, I have the old eMachine running Windows 7, but mostly I’m using Apple devices to test. Fewer and fewer streams are working on the iPad. Apple just came out with a radio competitor called Beat.

Total revenue of all Radio dropped 2% last quarter
