And here I thought NASA was supposed to be involved in space programs. Oh that’s right – they are battling Global Warming to save the Earth. Well, the good news is that it is now private companies funding the programs and things will definitely improve over time. The down side is there are no pockets deep enough to go to the Moon again, much less Mars.

I was just thinking about this earlier today. I understand I’m stomping on a hot button for some, but… Humans are adapted for a very narrow range of environment, and will likely not thrive far outside our genetic home. White people with red hair living in the tropics will get skin cancer and be unable to go outside to grow food and survive tropical diseases. Tropical people will have Vitamin D issues and problems digesting foods from polar regions.

I think we need to resign ourself that the Earth (and maybe only a portion) is “home” that is uniquely matched to the needs of humans. The Universe doesn’t revolve around the Earth. This is not a “throwaway” planet. The idea that Humans might migrate somewhere else just encourages people to foul the nest
