The page to describe a radio station isn’t currently very interesting nor very visible in Google. I’m mostly asking for opinions of people who don’t work in radio and have no idea what HAAT means.
So let’s say you arrived from Google looking for a “good” Country Music station and you wind up looking at the page for KJJJ-FM
http://streamingradioguide.com/streaming-schedule.php?stationid=5967
The right 2/3 of the page is useless empty space.
There are limits due to copyright issues – I can’t tell you Nielson ratings for instance. I played around with google earth to embed a picture of the radio station, but that might not be something Alphabet would permit.
Keeping in mind that this is still about streaming and not about where any particular radio station is physically located, although in theory you might be using a smart phone and do care what stations are np nearby, what would make the page interesting? After you see what you wanted, would you ever come back again?
Originally, the focus of the design was to display the programming schedule for News/Talk stations. For a variety of reasons covered previously, that is no longer the primary focus of the web site. For those confused about “volunteering”, that’s why you may be confused. I need help sorting out Country music stations, breaking Spanish language stations into groups, finding web pages for unknown stations, finding streaming players for stations that just started streaming. Looking for the 463rd station carrying Rush Limbaugh is not what goes on here any more. It’s OK if you have no interest other than hating President Obama. I can point you to several places if that is your sole purpose in life.
