FCC computer systems held hostage!

The FCC’s computer systems will be down for almost a week – probably related to implementing the FCC’s move of their systems “to the cloud” in the Robert Byrd Confederate memorial data center in West Virginia. The systems will be offline from September 2nd to September 8th. Anticipating the worst, I’ve suspended the nightly FCC update process, so for about 2 weeks, there won’t be any new licenses, call sign changes, etc

One Response to FCC computer systems held hostage!

  1. Art Stone says:

The FCC computers were due to be back online at 8 AM ET today. It’s 8:15 and they are still offline.

    I’m shocked!
