Now that I’m on a slower internet connection, web bloat gets much more obvious. My connection can download about 300 KB per second, still 50x faster than dialup.
This is not even slightly atypical.

A slightly related Windows 10 observation. Windows 10 randomly does things like install system updates and sync OneDrive. It appears to have no concept that it might be on a home LAN being shared by other devices. This creates random freezes of all the other devices. The Win10 PC is now turned off.
