It is a likely scenario. Similar to the B.S. on global warming – a semi-sentient being might conclude that playing mind/brain games would maintain or increase higher brain function. In fact, it doesn’t because it is a protein and chemical system that allows us to “think” and “reason” (although I still can’t explain texting while driving for my own satisfaction). Sounds good, but it’s based on junk science.
By playing Candy Crush, I definitely get better at playing Candy Crush. It’s doubtful it helps me find my car keys.
