Connecticut weighs in

Polls arrived today for Connecticut. Once again Trump or Cruz will lose to either Hillary or Bernie. Kasich will beat either Democrat in November.

While Connecticut is a relatively small state, it was one in the “could go either way” pile – Obama got only 58% in 2012, less than the 60% “safe” cutoff. The margins in the polls are well beyond the Margin of Error. Unless something changes, Connecticut goes Democratic unless Kasich is the Republican nominee.

That pushes Bernie Sanders over the finish line winning the electoral “college” vote – if the Republicans nominate Trump; and inches away from Hillary being over the finish line. Of course, the Democrats are unlikely to nominate Sanders. I can’t imagine the billionaires that own the Democratic Party accepting hippy wife Jane Sanders as the First Lady.

It is worth noting that the Democrats appear weak vs Kasich in part because pollsters stopped polling X vs Kasich. Without a poll, the estimate follows safe/not safe. Democrats probabky would win vs Kasich in some of the toss up states that currently lack a poll

My take on Kasich. No one knows who he is. He is the governor of Ohio (absentee anyway), but no one who wasn’t voting age in the 80’s remembers his tenure in Congress and the balanced budget. Kasich doesn’t win against anyone – not even Kasich. Everyone beats Hillary. The problem with actually doing it is overcoming the votes from the dead, the votes from the illegals, the votes from the prison population and the votes out of thin air for which there is no actual, physical being. Fred could beat Hillary – if the illegal votes were taken off the table.

The drumbeat of who can beat who is worthless, but it fills the 24/7 news coffers.

You might be right. He is so little known, he doesn’t have much baggage nationally. He’s fairly boring as a speaker.

I will admit that in the beginning, I had him confused with Dennis Kacinich.

Kasich is the candidate that is preferred by the establishment Republicans. Cruz is too far right and Trump is an unknown. I don’t think even Trump knows what the hell he stands for.
Cruz will probably win the nomination on the 2nd or 3rd ballot.
    Trump will cry!

Hillary is also now over the finish line -if- Trump is the nominee. Head to head polls came out for New Joisey today. New Jersey is a toss up state – voted 58% for Obama in 2012.

The matchups came up with strong Democratic victories – with one exception. Hillary vs Kasich is a tie.
