All the votes are counted. Trump has been awarded the final 6 delegates in California, giving him all 172 delegates. He has received more votes during primary elections than any Republican in history, despite starting with 19 candidates. Trump has around 1,550 delegates. Even with the worst case of all unbound delegates voting against Trump, he would still have around 1,400 delegates.
Paul Ryan has said he will vote for Trump in November. Despite the characterization by the media, that is NOT an endorsement. Bush voted for Romney, but did nothing to get him elected. Ryan offered to quit as chairman of the convention if Trump asked.
It’s ball busting time for those not yet transgendered. Now with Ryan overtly calling Trump a racist, they are not remotely on the same team. Ryan will control the interpretation of the rules at the convention, most importantly credential fights and whether bound delegates can choose to not vote on the first ballot.
Trump needs a “head on a stick” outside the village to warn opponents. John McCain would be an excellent choice. In the past, he undermined other Republicans, he ran for President and lost miserably and still doesn’t know why – and he will never be on Trump’s team. Trump is already on record that getting shot down and captured by the enemy doesn’t make a man a hero.
The Arizona Senate primary is on August 30th. June 1st was the last day to file as a candidate. There are three other candidates running. Trump should ask each one to endorse him.
– Clair Van Steenwyk is from California. He has been active in politics and emphasizes his Christian orientation
– Kelli Ward is a physician, the wife of a military man, mother of three children, wants to shrink government, opposes Common Core and supports the 2nd amendment
– Alex Meluskey – he says Conservative things, but is very vague and has no prior experience in office
Trump endorsing Kelli Ward would not only push back on the “hates women” narrative, but also a shot across the bow of the indecisive. He should say something like “this is the type of person I want on our new team in Congress. To the incumbent members, you have 24 hours to endorse me, or ‘you’re fired’, and we will find a replacement, even if it means a write in campaign or convincing a Democrat or Libertarian to be on my team.”
I believe that is what America wants – clean house. The Democrats will explode with angry cries of “fascist”, “dictator”, “Hitler”, and many Republicans will join the chorus. It’s entirely possible such heavy handed tactics could permanently destroy the Republican Party and/or destroy Trump. We have very little left to lose.
“A coward dies a thousand times before his death, but the valiant taste of death but once. It seems to me most strange that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come”
William Shakespeare: Julius Caesar Act 2, Scene 2

He does, and McCain might be a good one going back to his comments last summer. I think a better one would be (and will be) George W Bush. It serves the same purpose but also reminds Bernie supporters that Hillary worked with Bush to bring us the Iraq war. Bush is hated by the liberals more than McCain is..
And here is a prediction you will not hear or read anywhere else. I believe that Rand Paul is and should be on Trump’s short list of VP candidates. Rand and Trump did not have the intense personal hatred that seemed to exist between Trump and many of the others. It would also bring on many of the libertarian Republicans that did not vote for Romney and will make people relax and ignore their fears that Trump will be a power hungry facist dictator seeking to increase government. Rand also works well across the aisle compared to the others and has been a champion of Black causes. I think that Trump is considering him and should be.
I suspect Newt fell off the short list this week

You can tell she used to live in West Virginia. Phyllis Schlafley also backs her.
She is an osteopath, who are kind of a cross between medical doctor and chiropractor.
I like CC’s take – pillory Georgie-boy and get two decent outcomes:
1) The head-on-a-pike warning for RINO elites
2) The notice being served that Hillary and Bush 43 being buddies is going to wear heavy on her turkey neck.
Anyone think McCain has any integrity left? I wouldn’t mind seeing him out of government altogether. That would be a nice feather in the Trump cap as well.
