You can see Mexico from KNSJ-FM

Radio stations like to choose letters in call signs for a reason. The “SJ” stands for “Social Justice”. The 330 watt class B1 station is licensed to a group called Activist San Diego. The station transmitter is located on leased tower space on top of Monument peak, a 6000 foot high mountain that is inside the Cleveland National Forest. Thieves of unknown ethnicity and immigration status used a crowbar to break in, and stole equipment including a Monitor and Wifi hot spot.

Well, their station went off the air for a bit

News Coverage

The amusing part of the story is the station manager thinks the station having an FCC license makes this a Federal crime. The station is proud it has listeners in Russia and China, the bastions of social justice.

The news headlines right now are stories that include Noam Chomsky’s opinion of Donald Trump, Amy Goodman’s appearance on CSPAN and the sad news that Liberation Theologist Father Daniel Berrigan died in March. Curiously, the entry in Wikipedia makes no mention of his Marxist liberation theology activism.

    Social Justice – an oxymoron of the first degree. Read people’s injustice. Only the government wins. Folks who figure out that they were lied to so they would believe the gov’t would give them justice will be jailed for life (or shot by Hillary’s henchmen).

    These were some pretty bold statements.

    No one talked about “pride” of outside sources. It was a simple statement to show where our diversity spreads.

    Secondly…..

    Your absolutely right about the fcc call. Martin didn’t reference the citation, and as an collage professor, this was a foopah. However, the fact the robbery happened on Federal property still keeps this crime a Federal crime.

    Thirdly, As the engineer, feel free to call and talk trash anytime. I would love to “share my cultural diversity” with you

      You have robbery and burglary confused

      Assimilative Crimes Act, 18 U.S.C. 13, makes state criminal laws applicable to conduct occurring on certain federal lands, provided that federal criminal law does not define an applicable offense for the misconduct committee.

      Three criteria must be met:
      1) the United States has exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction;
      2) there is no federal law covering the conduct; and
      3) there is an applicable state law.

      Under the Act, the state law is adopted and used to prosecute the defendant in federal court as a federal offense.

      The Act does not apply: 1) when there is a federal law that covers the conduct; or 2) to areas of proprietary federal jurisdiction.
