The Attorney general meeting with the target of a potential criminal investigation or his wife without the conversation being recorded is about as far over the line of “appearance of impropriety” as one could get. Will it matter? Probably not.

Even if the FBI director wanted a prosecution, and the DC District prosecutor wanted to indict her, there is no way a grand jury would indict Hillary, let alone convict her. DC was deliberately packed with Democratic voters over the decades with Public Housing projects and related Democratic Party constituencies.
