I don’t actually see cause and effect here, but…
On Wednesday, I ordered again using Walmart pickup. I added in a butter tray that was a bit over $3. When I got it home, I saw it was made of glass, not plastic. I turned it over and was shocked that it was “made in USA” in Ohio. For those who were not forced to take Spanish, EE.UU. Means United States (Estados Unidos) in Spanish. So not only is Walmart selling it, the manufacturer is selling it globally.
With the growing tensions in the South China Sea, Walmart would be well advised to diversify its suppliers away from China. Walmart is such a big retailer, it can overwhelm a supplier who suddenly gets an order.
Thats cool. Glad to see made in USA.
My wife likes the Fiestaware, Made in Newell west Virginia, HOMER LAUGHLIN china company.
They are good too,
Have a good one
