I had to stop watching at the first “amazing” from the Donald. I wish he would carry a thesaurus and find other synonyms for the word. If I were to watch 10 minutes of Trump and take a shot for every “amazing” I would die of alcohol poisoning. I shudder at his repetitive last words in any sentence. And… the sad thing is that I will vote for this buffoon, third-grade speaker.
Incredible! Fantastic!
The main question I had was whether Ben Carson blindsided Trump by draping a Jewis prayer shawl “fresh off the plane from Israel” around Trump, or whether that was prearranged.
Way back at the beginning, I suggested that Republicans chasing the black vote would be futile, telling the story of black Republican Bill Lucas running for Governor of Michigan and getting no black support and handing control of the state to the Democrats.
Hillary has a problem with young blacks. The “super predator” comment when the Clintons started the mass incarceration of young black men “has legs”. If Trump wants to go “full Alex Jones”, he could bring up the accusation that Clinton was involved with supporting the CIA using the airport in Mena, Arkansas to import cocaine to destroy black communities in urban areas. Needless to say, that is a very risky strategy, especially if any of it is true.

I’m puzzled by the religious angle. Trump support in the South exceeded that for Ted Cruz. Especially when you consider what goes on in a casino, the idea that religion drives Trump’s personality seems unlikely. He strikes me as a Rush Limbaugh Christian – Rush realizes he has to be a Christian, but spends his Sundays attending services at the NFL temples. Rush asserts that the 10 commandments have nothing to do with religion, which means he doesn’t know what they are.
Trump was clearly reading (poorly) a speech written by someone else, almost certainly Ben Carson. It was not credible, especially his reading his favorite Bible verse.
