Sponsored by a Country music radio station in Michigan… WNWN-FM is owned by Midwest broadcasting which has stations around Lake Michigan – this one is in Coldwater, which mainly hits Battle Creek and Kalamazoo in SW Michigan
What’s missing from this video?
Black people (?)
I have no idea….
Describe the audience for me 🙂
what audience?
Bingo!
What an uncomfortable video to watch. I have no idea who the singer is.
The radio-info.com Tom Taylor newsletter has a feature where people tell stories about their experiences in radio. One recurring topic is the “remote from hell” – the sales guy sells a remote appearance by the station DJ and the station remote van goes out to the local car dealer and gives away free hotdogs, etc… Then for 4 hours with the DJ begging people to come over and get their free hot dog, not one person shows up except the mother of the DJ.
Remote broadcasts are getting pretty rare these days – it can tell you things about your “audience” you don’t want to know.
I have to agree…I was embarresed for the singer to watch it. The music wasn’t horrable and she certainly is cute but in this day and age it’s just hard to draw a crowd unless you have a name…but then how do you get a name unless you can draw a crowd…Hmmmm
Example #2

The handful of people wandering around seem oblivious to the fact a performance is going on – where is my free hot dog?
