Bloomberg has a news story about a new service like Reddit, but “without the trolls”. Nothing is a troll magnet like telling people you don’t want trolls. I signed up of course – among the list of communities I might want to join is a “we hate trump” group. Well played.
On Friday, Alex Jones floated the idea of his millions of minions creating fake profiles and flooding message boards pretending to be anti-Trump people online, but posting stupid indefensible messages criticizing Trump. The problem with that idea is most of his followers are too stupid to be convincing of pretending to be stupid.
The Washington Post as essentially advocated banning news not approved by the government, while accusing “fake” news sites of being stooges for the Russian Government. It looks like the CIA is ready to lead a coup against Trump with the WaPo playing the role of Government propagandist. The House wants to spend $100 million on drowning out “fake” news.
