Vaguely. I lived in AZ from 1985 on, and didn’t return to MI until 2009. I do recall the Michigan Militia making the news on a few occasions. Of course, AZ had border militia making news as well.
After reading about the Hutaree (it was very small) it seems the FBI was merely creating safe ‘busy work’ for themselves. The group still has an active WordPress website, indexed and linked via Google… so I guess they’re not considered a ‘threat’.
The FBI addiction to Gestapo-like omnipotence began with Janet Reno and grew after 9/11, so it’s no surprise to see the arrogance of Strzok, Comey, and the bureau as a whole. I don’t trust them at all.
